Here’s a little bit of dirty campaigning: the Hillary Clinton “first cleaning lady” toilet bowl brush. I think it’s just a little bit of opportunism from an entrepreneur looking to capitalize on the folks that don’t like her.

I think it’s funny and the kind of collectors’ item I always want to own. I am a Hillary supporter and was hoping she would be our next president, but I’ve also worked my way through grad school being a cleaning lady. I don’t think hard work in a humble profession is an insult. But I like this kind of schwag - representative of certain times in our history. I also have a “Mammy” cookie jar. I don’t believe I’m a racist. I just like the “sweet, nurturing” aspect of “Mammy” and I like it as an artifact.
