Barry Goldwater lost the 1964 election to Lyndon B. Johnson, but he certainly wasn’t at a loss for creative campaigns. Take for example the above “Goldwater,” pretty clever in my opinion (who doesn’t love wordplay?), but I imagine being a Libertarian Goldwater wasn’t so keen on free schwag, you know how fiscal conservatives are about government handouts!

Not to be outdone, Johnson had his own drink made:
