I don’t know how I feel about these. I understand making the president into a doll or marketing the democratic donkey and republican elephant as promotional stuffed animals or plush toys but the first daughters?

According to a spokeperson for Ty Inc., these dolls make no reference to Obama’s daughters; they are simply innocent inclusions into the “TyGirlz Collection.” But I mean come on!!! Your dolls are called “Marvelous Malia” and “Sweet Sasha.” Don’t get me wrong, these dolls are extremely adorable, but the supposed “non-reference” to the president’s daughters is not so apparent. I wonder what Mrs. Obama aka First Lady aka First Mother thinks about these plush dolls.
