A new grassroots political movement has been initiated: Brad Pitt for New Orleans mayor. It all started when a Tulane University professor made a list of why Brad Pitt should be the next mayor for the city. And what did this spark, aside from word-of-mouth spreading throughout the city? Political schwag of course! The city began producing “Brad Pitt for mayor” promotional T-shirts, which Brad was first exposed to on the Today Show. After seeing the shirt, political antagonist Ann Curry asked ”If chosen, would you run?” Brad responded with a ”yeah” and joked about how he would legalize gay marriage and marijuana. He then went on to say how he has no chance of being chosen. We may not see him up on the political stage anytime soon, but at least people were serious enough about it to campaign for him by using promotional apparel!
