Thou shall pass
“Today after almost a century of trial, today after over a year of debate, today after all the votes have been tallied, health insurance reform becomes law in the United States of America. All of the overheated rhetoric over reform will finally confront the reality of reform.” – President Obama
Today marks an historic day as it is one that saw Barack Obama sign in the new Health Bill. The new law will eventually extend health insurance cover to about 32 million Americans who currently do not have any. Although it was heavily opposed by Republicans to the point where not a single Republican voted for it, the new health bill shows great promise for the future generations of Americans. There’s also great incentive for its passing in the fact that the proposed plan will lower American national debt by $147 billion. Any way you look at it, this is great promotional government action for Mr. Obama, as it looks like he is now beginning to take the reins in Washington.
