There are Obama key chains, bobbleheads, t-shirts, but now Obama is on custom sneakers! The first pair shown is designed by Van Taylor, a Cleveland, Ohio based shoe designer, who created these Obama-inspired “Nike Air Force One” sneakers in support of Barack Obama’s political run for the White House. Before I move on to cover schwag from the Republican National Convention. Here is some last minute political schwag from the Democratic National Convention that I almost missed. These promotional lapel pins were probably handed out to all the speakers and members of the House of Representatives. Either way it is pretty cool

Back in May Dan Seals (D), who is on the ticket for Chicago’s 10th Congressional District, offered to pay the difference between 1.85 (the price of gas during when Incumbent Mark Kirk (R) was elected into [...]

Stephen Colbert may have been denied his bid for the candidacy during the South Carolina Primary, but Marvel Comics says Colbert (the T is silent) is still a valid candidate in the Marvel Universe. So don’t throw away your Colbert ’08 Bumper Stickers just yet.

There’s the Electoral College, there’s the popular vote, and then there’s campaign merchandise sales. If the latter of these three is an indicator of November’s results, then looks like Obama’s going to win. Obama’s sales numbers for t-shirts, hats, etc. are far higher than those of McCain; on Café Press, Obama-inspired items account for 66 [...]
