We made it! It’s finally Inauguration Day and there is a ton of political schwag to be found. Here is just the first, custom flip flops are kind of an odd political schwag item to hand out especially since it’s January. But the Obama heads attached to the flip flops make them really unique.

(Via: Found in Mom’s Basement) James Buchanan was the 15th president of the United States (1857-1861) and has been deemed one of the worst presidents in American history (a few presidents wear that badge actually). This poster, which reminds everyone to vote for Buchanan on November 4th, 1856, is truly vintage schwag! Political promotional posters [...]

You’re not a REAL politician until you have at least 150 different schwag items plastered with your name and the year of your candidacy on them. Check out these promotional noisemakers from Mitt Romney’s failed campaign for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination. I think I spot an imprinted frisbee too! Better luck in 4 years [...]

Promotional pins and buttons are some of the most popular political schwag. Since they are relatively inexpensive to produce and can be worn daily on any item of clothing or bag, campaigns have used clever and humorous buttons to promote their candidates since the nineteenth century. I stayed awake all night waiting for that text message to find out who would be Barack Obama’s running mate. I also knew that it wouldn’t be long till some really awesome political schwag was created for the candidates. So who is going to be sporting an Obama-Biden Bumper Sticker?

If the race for the presidency wasn’t hot enough, the race for the best political schwag certainly is. So who will win the political schwag presidency? Obama or McCain’s bobblehead? The answer is in the video, but for those of you who can’t wait, Obama wins the promotional bobblehead vote!

Take a look at these McCain promotional button down shirts. It’s interesting to see the different promotional apparel between Barack Obama and John McCain. While McCain sports button down shirts, Obama has these hip promotional t-shirts. Just something I thought was interesting!
